The Octopuntal Ridiculator

This piece was installed in Castle Lane, Westminster early in 2005. I'd kept it d-locked to the roof for a while but think it looks better here!

It's a double inverse irregular tetrahedron made from reclaimed 1cm reinforcing bar.

The lowermost of its eight points has a shopping trolley wheel affixed to it, that's how I got it home.

It's now set in concrete with turf. A friend placed a small gnome under it, which I like.

In the summer I painted it with natural yoghurt to encourage lichen growth, however so far this has failed to work.
